Curriculum vitae

Welcome to the CHESS Lab, a research group within the Industrial Engineering department at Clemson University. Our team explores the intersection of human factors, computer science, and engineering to design and evaluate innovative technologies. We're particularly interested in how extended reality (XR), artificial intelligence (AI), and advanced visualization techniques can improve performance, safety, and learning across various domains, including healthcare, education, and complex problem-solving.

Our work spans a range of methodologies, from controlled experiments and user studies to qualitative analyses and the development of novel algorithms and systems. Take a look at our publications to see our recent contributions, including work on virtual reality training for medical procedures, the use of AI in medical education, and the evaluation of data physicalizations. I am always eager to discuss potential collaborations and research opportunities, so please don't hesitate to reach out.
